Officials Say 10,000 Publicly-Funded Housing Units Under Development In Iowa

Iowa has allocated 770 million dollars in grants and tax credits for housing developments, expected to create around 10,000 homes and apartment units. This includes 632 million dollars in federal tax credits over ten years, with 80 million in state tax credits for new construction in areas with housing shortages. Additionally, 16 million dollars is aimed at new housing in smaller cities, and 11 million dollars from the National Housing Trust Fund will support rental units for low-income residents.
